Gate-side books and mags right in T1

Relay in Terminal T1 sits airside and covers the basics: French and international magazines, paperbacks, kids’ books, plus the usual travel snacks and bottled drinks. It opens in line with the flight schedule, so if the terminal is active, the shutters are usually up. Pricing runs a bit higher than downtown Marseille newsstands, but still in normal airport range for books and newspapers.

You’ll see the Relay logo as soon as you move toward the main T1 departure gates, after security. Stock leans French-first, but you’ll usually find some English-language titles mixed into the bestsellers rack and a few English travel guides for Provence and the Côte d’Azur. If you just need a quick Sudoku book or a crossword pad for a 2‑hour hop, this is the easiest grab before boarding.

Hours follow the first to last departures from T1, so on a morning with a 06:00 wave of flights, staff are often there around 04:30–05:00; on quiet days, it may close shortly after the final evening departure. Card payments are accepted for small purchases, and you can pick up a basic charger or pair of wired earphones along with your book, usually under €20 for the accessories.

There’s no strong reason to detour from another terminal just for Relay, but if you’re already checked in at T1 and boarding in the next 30–40 minutes, factor in a 5‑minute stop here to stock up on something to read before you join the gate queue.
