Duty Free Aelia

T2

T2’s Duty Free Aelia sits just past security in Marseille

Right after you clear security in Terminal T2, Duty Free Aelia is the first serious shop you hit before the gates. It runs on typical flight-bank hours, so expect it open for early morning departures and closing after the last evening wave. If you still need a quick gift before a low-cost carrier flight, this is basically your only full duty free option in T2.

Liquor and wine take up a big chunk of the floor, with French bottles front and center. You’ll see Provence rosé and regional reds lined up at standard airport pricing, not crazy but not outlet-cheap either. Spirits skew toward big global brands, with promo packs and 1-liter bottles that beat downtown prices by a bit if you compare per liter.

Cosmetics and perfume run along the central aisles, with the usual L’Oréal, Chanel, Dior, and Lancôme counters. Travel-size skincare and makeup kits sit near the cash desks, and fragrances often have 50 ml or 100 ml formats that work for carry-on rules. If you forgot a basic like mascara or moisturizer before reaching MRS, you can replace it here without hunting around T1.

Confectionery and local food souvenirs fill the remaining shelves: Marseille soap bars, lavender items, and bagged biscuits usually sit near the entrance, while big-brand chocolate multipacks hang closer to the tills. Packaged items are all security-friendly, so you can carry them straight onto your T2 flight without issues.

Quick tip: prices get rounded to whole euros and multi-buy promos stack best, so if you’re tempted by alcohol or chocolate, check the “2 for” tags and split a deal with your travel partner before you pay.
