VIP Lounge Terminal 2

T2 Open · 05:00-22:00

05:00-22:00 access is the real value of the VIP Lounge Terminal 2

This is the only clearly documented lounge option in Marseille’s low-cost Terminal 2, and it runs a long day from 05:00 to 22:00. It’s a Priority Pass-style pay-in setup after security, used by several budget carriers when they hand out lounge slips, plus card schemes like Mastercard.

Inside VIP Lounge Terminal 2 you’re looking at soft leather sofas, basic work tables, and power points scattered along the walls; LoungeReview mentions multiple outlets near the seating clusters. One FlyerTalk regular called it “small but surprisingly comfortable,” which tracks if you manage to arrive outside the crunch around early morning and late afternoon departures.

Food is light: think crudités, simple salads, packaged snacks, and a hot soup urn when it’s stocked. Several FlyerTalk users flag the whole MRS lounge scene as limited on food and drink, so treat this as a step up from the terminal’s grab-and-go, not a full meal before a 3-hour flight. If you want something substantial, eat in T2 first and use the lounge for coffee, nibbles, and Wi‑Fi.

On drinks, expect house wine and basic beer, plus soft drinks and a standard coffee machine rather than a staffed bar. Reviews consistently describe the selection as thin, so if you’re picky about what’s in your glass, buy a better bottle airside and use the lounge mainly for seating and sockets.

Crowding is the main negative: multiple FlyerTalk posts describe the space as very small, and it can feel jammed at peak times when several T2 flights bank together. Seats go fast, and power points become a competition, so don’t show up expecting quiet-library vibes at 07:30 or around the 18:00 wave.

Access quirks: there’s mention of a “contact lounge” door that some call “terrible”, with entry controlled by a code. British Airways passengers in particular report picking up a paper pass from the BA Sales counter when the lounge desk is unmanned, and other regulars say to sort out any door code with your airline or card provider before you reach the terminal.

Tip: flying out of T2, aim to arrive at the lounge 60-75 minutes before boarding; early enough to grab a seat, but late enough that you’re not spending hours in a small room with limited snacks.
