Charter coaches line up outside T1’s Ground Transportation Hall, but individual passengers rarely deal with “Charter Bus Parking” directly.
At Sangster International (MBJ) Terminal T1, the airport funnels hotel shuttles, tour buses, and other ground transport into the Ground Transportation Hall just outside arrivals. Charter buses pull into the same general zone as pre-booked tours and cruise transfers, then stage along the curb while groups clear immigration and customs. You won’t see a public “Charter Bus Parking” sign or walk-up booth with posted rates.
Access to the charter coach lot works on the operator side: licensed companies pre-arrange airport permits and parking rights with MBJ or the airport’s ground-transport coordinator. That’s why online guides lump charter buses and hotel shuttles together, and why there are no credible published prices or maps of a specific coach lot. If a hotel or tour operator says, “Our bus will meet you outside customs,” they already handle the parking piece in the background.
Arrivals flow is simple: exit customs in T1, walk into the Ground Transportation Hall, then follow signs for “Hotel Shuttles / Tour Buses.” Staff and dispatchers in branded vests direct groups to numbered bays or a clearly marked coach. Most buses stage within a few minutes’ walk of the doors, so there’s no off-site trek or separate garage run for charter passengers.
Watch out for informal touts in the Ground Transportation Hall offering “bus” or “tour” rides on the spot; legitimate charter coaches for a specific group or hotel are pre-booked and appear on a list or signboard. One practical tip: keep your operator’s written instructions and phone number handy, then head straight to the designated shuttle/tour desk in T1 before stepping outside to the curb lanes.
