60 minutes max right outside T2 departures
Express Parking T2 sits directly in front of the T2 departures area at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas and runs as a classic kiss-and-fly zone for very short stays. It’s built for fast drop-offs and pick-ups, not all-day parking, and is signed as “Express” right as you approach the T2 curb.
This express car park is tied to T2, which handles Schengen flights for airlines like Air Europa and some SkyTeam and low-cost carriers. If your flight leaves from T1 or T3, this isn’t your best option, because you’d still have to transfer between terminals once you’ve said your goodbyes at T2.
Stays are usually free for the first few minutes, then charged in short intervals, with a strict upper time limit of around 30–60 minutes per vehicle. It’s meant for quick curb-style stops, so don’t plan to leave your car here while you go inside T2 to shop for an hour or sit down for a long coffee.
The layout is straightforward: one entrance from the main access road to T2, ticket barrier, short-stay bays, then a direct pedestrian path to the T2 doors less than a couple of minutes’ walk away. There’s no need for a shuttle bus, and you’re under the terminal canopy almost as soon as you lock the car.
Security here is basic short-stay style, with barriers and monitored entry/exit but not the same long-term fencing and patrol pattern you see in the official multi-day car parks P1, P2, or the long-stay lots. Treat it like a quick stop on a city street rather than a place to leave the car while you’re out of the country.
Tip: Agree a pick-up time by WhatsApp before your passenger walks out of T2; that way you can pull into Express Parking T2 just as they reach the curb and avoid running past the free minutes.
