Express Parking T1

Kiss and fly

30-minute limit right outside T1 departures

Express Parking T1 sits directly in front of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas T1 departures area and works as a classic kiss-and-fly zone with very short stays. It is built for quick drop-offs and pick-ups, not for leaving the car for hours. Signage on the access roads to T1 clearly marks the express zone so you can move straight into the correct lane without looping the terminal.

This express car park is controlled by barriers and time limits, typically geared around stays of a few minutes up to roughly half an hour. It serves only Terminal 1, so if your flight departs from T2, T3, T4 or T4S, this isn’t the right place to stop. For longer trips or if you plan to walk into the terminal and stay more than a short while, switch to the official T1 general car park instead of risking an overstay here.

Access is fully landside, before security, and you step from the car directly onto the T1 departures curb in under 1–2 minutes. This works well for passengers with heavy luggage or those arriving by car from the M-14 or M-40 who want to pull up close to the T1 check-in desks. Because of the layout at Madrid, using Express Parking T1 keeps you closer than the multistorey car parks that sit a few hundred metres back.

There is constant flow-through at most morning and evening peaks, and turnover is high because of the short-stay limits. That keeps spaces opening regularly, but you may still see brief queues at the barrier during busy T1 departure banks around 06:00–09:00 and 18:00–21:00. Tip: have your drop-off coordinated in advance and keep goodbyes quick so you are rolling again within the allowed time window.
