Puerta del Sol Lounge

T3

Most Priority Pass cards in T3 will route you to Puerta del Sol

This is the standard contract lounge for many Schengen departures in T3 at Madrid–Barajas, sitting airside after security and passport control for T3 Schengen gates. If you hold Priority Pass, this is usually the default option once you clear T3 security, and staff scan both digital and physical cards at the desk.

The lounge sits on the upper level of the T3 departures area, a short walk from the main Schengen gate cluster, so plan a 5–10 minute walk back to the gates. Seating is mostly basic armchairs and small tables, laid out in several open zones rather than enclosed rooms, with power outlets scattered but not at every seat.

Hours typically run from early morning into the late evening to cover the main European bank of departures from T3, roughly aligning with the first flights around 06:00 and closing after the last Schengen departures. Turnover spikes around mid‑morning and late afternoon, when multiple Priority Pass partners are boarding, so expect more crowding during those banks.

Food follows the usual contract lounge template: a small buffet with cold cuts, basic pastries at breakfast, and simple snacks like crisps and cookies later in the day. Coffee comes from push‑button machines rather than a barista, and fridges hold soft drinks and a couple of standard beers; spirits sit on a self‑serve counter with a few common labels rather than premium brands.

Wi‑Fi runs off the airport network, so you log in with the same MAD free Wi‑Fi portal you’d use in T1 or T4. Speeds tend to match the main terminal: fine for email, social feeds, and a short video call, but streaming 4K is hit‑or‑miss once the lounge fills during the 09:00–11:00 wave.

Showers are not a core feature here, and many Priority Pass listings for Puerta del Sol in T3 don’t mention any dedicated shower suites at all. If you need a guaranteed shower at Madrid–Barajas, you’re usually better off planning around options in T4/T4S or a landside hotel instead of banking on this T3 space.

Use this lounge to sit down, charge devices, and grab a drink within T3 Schengen, but keep one eye on the clock; gates in this pier often start boarding 30–40 minutes before departure and can be a solid 8–10 minute walk from the lounge door.
