Parfumerie Aelia Beauty

1

Beside the main duty-free in Terminal 1, Parfumerie Aelia Beauty sits on the Schengen side and feels like the focused perfume corner of Lyon Saint-Exupéry. It’s all fragrance and cosmetics, no snacks or souvenirs, so only walk down here if you actually want makeup, skincare, or a bottle of scent before boarding. Expect the usual big French and global brands you’d see in a city-center parfumerie, but in airport sizes and gift packs.

Most perfumes and skincare sets price out similarly to downtown Lyon duty-free, with regular airport promos like “-20% on the second item” or bundled gift boxes under €50. Staff usually switch between French and English without fuss. This shop sits airside in Terminal 1, so you’ll already be past security; you’re looking at a 3–5 minute detour from many Schengen gates if you walk at a normal pace.

Choice leans heavily into fragrance, with shelves of women’s and men’s eau de parfum and eau de toilette, plus travel sprays in the 30–50 ml range that work well for carry-on rules. Makeup and skincare sections are smaller but still cover basics: foundations, lipsticks, cleansers, and a few anti-age creams. If you’re picky about niche perfume lines or small French houses, assume they won’t be here and plan a stop in Lyon city instead.

Lines spike right after big departures in Terminal 1, especially when two or three flights to Spain and Italy board within 45 minutes. If you care about testing several scents, walk in at least 30 minutes before your boarding time, not after your gate starts showing “final call.”
