Gate-side French skincare fix in Terminal 1

L'Occitane sits airside in Terminal 1 at Lyon Saint-Exupéry, right in the main departures shopping strip. It’s a standard L'Occitane boutique: yellow signage, wall of hand creams, and testers for most products. Prices match downtown France retail, so a 30 ml hand cream runs around €10–€12 and gift sets climb toward €40–€60.

Stock skews to classics: shea butter hand creams, almond shower oil, and the Immortelle face range, all in travel-friendly sizes under 100 ml. You’ll find preboxed gift kits that fit easily in a cabin bag, plus solid soaps and minis that are easy to toss into a quart-size liquids bag. Since it’s in Terminal 1, you’re fine for Schengen and non-Schengen flights using this terminal; just don’t leave it for a last sprint before boarding.

The shop typically trades through the main flight banks, roughly 06:00–21:00, but closing can pull earlier on low-traffic evenings in T1. Staff handle VAT rules automatically on duty free-eligible items, though EU departures pay standard prices. If you care about scents, plan five extra minutes at the sink area to actually wash off testers.

Tip: Hit L'Occitane in T1 right after security, before you get locked into your gate pen; refills and gifts are faster to sort when your boarding group isn’t already lining up at the door.
