10-minute walk from Terminals 1 and 2, but landside
The NH Hotel Lobby Lounge sits inside the NH Lyon Airport hotel, across the road from Lyon Saint-Exupéry station and roughly a 10-minute signed walk from Terminals 1 and 2. It’s fully landside, so you need to leave the secure area and can’t use it during a tight connection. Think hotel bar attached to reception, not an airline lounge substitute.
Opening hours typically run from early evening into late night, with the hotel front desk at the station-facing entrance confirming exact times on the day. The bar area flows into the hotel restaurant, so you’ll usually find the same menu carrying through: burgers, club sandwiches, salads, and a few mains that lean on French bistro standards. Expect airport-hotel pricing: figure around €15–€20 for a main course and €6–€8 for a glass of wine.
Because it’s public access, you don’t need a room key, boarding pass, or any lounge membership to sit down here. Just walk in from the station level, turn right past reception, and you’re in the lobby bar by the central seating area. Power outlets sit along the walls and under some bench seating; count on finding a plug every 2–3 meters, but not necessarily at every small table.
Drink list runs to the usual suspects: draft beer from big-name European brands, basic cocktails like gin and tonic or Aperol spritz, and a small printed wine list highlighting Côtes du Rhône and local Beaujolais. Expect hotel-bar pours at hotel-bar prices: mixed drinks in the €10–€14 range. It’s fine for a glass and a quick email session if you’re killing time before a late TGV or an early hotel check-in.
This space doesn’t show up in frequent-flyer lounge lists, and there’s no Priority Pass or airline tie-in. Seats are regular lobby armchairs and dining chairs, and noise levels depend heavily on check-in waves and conference groups using the hotel’s meeting rooms. If you care about quiet, ask to sit closer to the restaurant side rather than the front desk side.
- Practical tip: Use the station’s covered walkway to reach the NH, and budget 20–25 minutes total to walk over, have a quick drink, and walk back through security for Terminals 1 or 2.
