Panopolis

A

Gate-side option in Terminal A

Five minutes from most Terminal A Schengen gates, Panopolis is the quick grab-and-go bakery spot when you don’t want to stray far from boarding. It sits airside, past security, so you’re fine staying here until your flight shows “boarding” on the nearby screens.

Panopolis leans hard on bread and pastries: croissants, baguette sandwiches, and simple cakes at typical airport pricing (figure around €4–€6 for pastries, sandwiches from roughly €6–€9). Coffee runs in the €3–€4 range for espresso drinks, and you can usually get everything bagged for takeaway in under 10 minutes during normal morning traffic.

Hours track the main Terminal A wave, opening early for the first bank of departures and running into the evening when the last European flights go out. If you’re catching a 06:00–08:00 departure, this is one of the few spots in A where you can reliably grab a hot drink and something filling without walking over to Terminal B.

Food is standard chain-bakery quality: sandwiches are pre-made and kept in chilled displays, and they’ll heat some options on request at the counter. Expect basic ham-and-cheese, salami, and simple veggie combinations rather than anything elaborate. For a safer bet, go with pastries fresh from the trays instead of the older-looking items at the back of the case.

Tip: if your gate is in the higher A20s, order your coffee last so it stays hotter; then walk straight to the gate area, which is less than a 5-minute stroll from Panopolis.
