Level 1 café in Terminal A with full airfield views
Café By Oberweis sits on Level 1 of Terminal A and looks straight out over the Luxembourg airfield, so you can track your Luxair or TAP flight while you eat. It runs airport-style hours rather than bakery hours: Monday to Friday 11:00–18:00, Saturday 11:00–15:00, Sunday 11:00–18:00, so don’t bank on an early-morning pastry here.
This is the airport outpost of Oberweis, the Luxembourg patisserie brand, so the draw is cakes, tarts and sweets rather than hot mains. Expect classic French-style patisserie in the €4–€7 range and coffee around the usual airport mark, rather than budget café pricing. It’s on the airside side of Terminal A’s main departures level, up one floor from most gates, so plan a 3–5 minute walk back down to A-gates.
Menu details shift, but think espresso, cappuccino and tea, plus seasonal pastries and small snacks instead of full plates. If you want a sit-down bite with a view of aircraft on the taxiway, this and Comptoir du Bon Pays are the two realistic options at LUX named by the airport itself. Service runs straight through the posted hours, so you can sit for an hour without being moved on.
Practical tip: aim for an afternoon stop between 14:00 and 17:00, when it’s usually quieter between bank departures and you’re still within their reduced Saturday closing time of 15:00.
