Staff parking sits just beyond Terminal 1 at LUN

The Staff Car Park at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport sits on the terminal access road beyond Terminal 1, set aside specifically for airport and airline employees. This is not a public car park, and access typically requires an approved airport staff pass or permit issued by LUN authorities. If you are flying out of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 as staff, this is the primary long-stay option you’ll be directed to use.

This facility functions as long-term staff parking, with cars often left for full 8–12 hour shifts or longer rotations. It caters to workers on airline, ground handling, retail, and authority schedules tied to flights arriving and departing from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Expect surface parking only, with standard bays laid out in rows rather than multi-storey structures or premium sections common at larger hubs.

Staff usually access the car park via the main airport access road, entering through a controlled point located a short drive from the public terminal forecourt. Entry and exit processes are normally tied to staff IDs or permits, and casual users or passengers without employment at LUN are not accepted. If your badge or permit is not activated for parking, security may turn you back at the barrier.

Public travellers heading for flights from Terminal 1 or 2 should ignore Staff Car Park signage and follow signs for public parking and drop-off zones near the main airport roundabout. Using the staff area without authorisation can lead to delays at the gate and possible fines. If you are new staff at LUN, confirm your parking eligibility and exact access point with your airline or airport employer before your first shift.
