Extended Car Park T2

Long-stay

Daily rates here beat the short‑stay lots at Terminal 2

Extended Car Park T2 sits beside Terminal 2 at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) and works for trips of several days or more. It’s signed as a long-stay option, so you’re not paying the same rate you would at the main terminal-front bays. The walk to the T2 check-in area is roughly a few minutes, depending on how far back you park, and you stay on paved surfaces the whole way.

This is an open-air surface car park, not a covered garage, so your car sits in the sun and occasional rain common in Lusaka. Because it’s aligned with Terminal 2, it’s the logical choice if you’re flying on international routes that depart from T2 rather than domestic flights from Terminal 1. The layout is straightforward: marked bays, drive-in access, and pay on airport terms that are posted at the entrance gate.

Extended Car Park T2 is set up specifically for longer stays, typically from 24 hours and up, so daily pricing works out cheaper than repeatedly paying short-term rates. If you’re parking for 3–7 days, this lot usually makes more sense than trying to rotate through the closer pick‑up and drop‑off strips. You still stay on airport property, so you avoid off‑site shuttles and extra transfer time.

There’s no covered pedestrian bridge here, so allow an extra 5–10 minutes in your schedule if you’re hauling two or more bags to Terminal 2. Aim to arrive at least 2 hours before an international departure from T2, and add another 15 minutes if you still need to pay for parking on exit, in case there’s a small queue at the payment point.
