Gate-side in KOA’s Main Terminal, this is the gift stop

Tiare’s Gift Shop sits in the Main Terminal after security at Ellison Onizuka Kona International, open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. That span covers the early island-hopper departures and the late mainland flights, so you can still grab something if your flight shifts a couple of hours. Signage in the open-air terminal is sparse; look for the “Tiare’s” sign near the central concessions cluster instead of hunting by gate number.

Expect the usual Hawai‘i airport mix: logo T‑shirts, basic souvenirs, and last-minute gifts, with prices running higher than Target in Kailua-Kona but in line with other KOA stands. You’ll find small items under $10 on the front racks and more premium pieces, like nicer shirts and bags, closer to the back wall. Snacks and drinks sit in coolers along one side, handy if you don’t want to wait for the single bar line when three flights board at once.

If you forgot macadamia nuts or a small gift from the island, Tiare’s usually has multiple brands and box sizes, including carry-on friendly 4–6 ounce packs. Inventory can thin out after the evening rush tied to the LAX and SFO departures, so don’t wait until 9:45 p.m. to shop. Card payments are standard, but keep a $5 bill handy; the counter sometimes has a $5 minimum for credit on tiny purchases.

Plan your stop on the walk back from the restrooms toward your gate so you’re not doubling back across the open-air terminal in the afternoon heat.
