Electronics Corner

10-minute walk from most T1 gates, Electronics Corner sits in the main departures area at Kigali International Airport. It’s a small, functional stop for last-minute tech rather than a full electronics store. You’ll see it after passport control in T1, on the way toward the central gate cluster rather than down a side corridor.

Prices run airport-high but not outrageous: think roughly USD 20–30 for basic headphones and around USD 15 for branded charging cables. Stock usually covers the essentials only: universal travel adapters, USB-C and Lightning cables, power banks, wired and simple Bluetooth earbuds, plus a few phone cases. Don’t expect laptops, cameras, or anything niche.

Hours generally track T1’s international departures, opening for early-morning flights around 05:00 and staying open until the late-evening banks toward 23:00. It’s firmly post-security, so this is not an option for greeters or anyone still in the public check-in hall. Card payments are standard, and prices are typically posted in Rwandan Francs with staff happy to quote a USD figure.

Treat Electronics Corner as a safety net. It’s the place to replace a forgotten charger before a 7-hour regional connection or pick up a power bank when you see every seat in T1 fighting for two outlets. If you’re picky about brand or specs, buy in town first and use this only for emergencies.

Tip: check your cable type and plug shape at your gate, then walk back once with a clear list; the shop is small, so decisions are faster if you know exactly what you need.
