Most “business class” passengers at KEF end up in Saga Lounge.

Terminal 1 at Keflavik doesn’t really have a separate “Business Lounge Keflavik” product; airlines like Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian and LOT typically send premium and status passengers to the Icelandair Saga Lounge as their contract option airside.

Access rules run through your airline, not a generic pay-per-use desk, so a Lufthansa Business Class passenger on LH867, a LOT passenger on LO46, or a Miles & More Senator on any Star Alliance carrier usually gets a Saga Lounge invitation printed on the boarding pass instead of anything labeled “Business Lounge Keflavik.”

If your boarding pass or app mentions “Business Lounge Keflavik, airside,” staff at security in Terminal 1 will still direct you toward the signposted Icelandair Saga Lounge near the D-gates, because that space doubles as the contract lounge for multiple carriers during the morning and late‑afternoon banks.

There’s no separate third‑party lounge run by a brand like Aspire or Plaza Premium here, and you can’t buy your way into a standalone Business Lounge Keflavik with Priority Pass, LoungeKey, Diners Club, or a one‑off payment at a desk next to gate D10 or elsewhere.

Complaints on FlyerTalk from 2023 and 2024 mention that the heavy use of Saga as a contract lounge for non‑Icelandair flights can leave seating tight during the 06:00–09:00 departure peak, especially when several Star Alliance and SkyTeam flights push back in the same 30‑minute window.

If your carrier doesn’t contract with Saga Lounge at all, expect to sit in the general Terminal 1 departures area near your gate and buy food from outlets like Joe & The Juice or Mathús KEF, because there is currently no fallback “Business Lounge Keflavik” to walk into with a generic lounge membership card.

Practical tip: before you bank on lounge time, check your airline’s KEF page or your booking confirmation; if it doesn’t explicitly name the Icelandair Saga Lounge or mention lounge access in Terminal 1, assume you’ll be using regular gate seating instead of any separate Business Lounge Keflavik.
