Gate-side option in T1 when you don’t want a sit-down meal
Summer Breeze sits inside Terminal T1 at Santorini Airport, past security, so you can stay close to your gate while you grab something quick. It’s a basic food & beverage counter, not a full restaurant, so think snacks, simple bites, and drinks rather than long meals. Expect airport pricing on sandwiches and coffee, but not the worst on the island; you’re paying for being 2–3 minutes from most T1 gates.
Opening hours generally track flight banks, with Summer Breeze active through the main morning and afternoon departures out of T1. That means you can usually get a coffee and something light before the early Aegean and Ryanair pushes, and still find it open before late-evening seasonal flights. If you’re landing on one of the very last rotations of the day, don’t count on it being open and plan to eat in town instead.
Food-wise, expect packaged pastries, grab-and-go sandwiches, crisps, and cold drinks; nothing here feels slow-cooked, but it beats boarding with an empty stomach. Drink options typically include bottled water, soft drinks, basic beers, and standard espresso-based coffee. You’ll pay airport markups on bottled water versus the €0.50 supermarket norm, though it’s still cheaper than buying on board with some low-cost carriers.
Service is counter-only, so you order, pay, and go; any seating nearby is standard terminal chairs rather than a dedicated dining area. Lines spike 30–40 minutes before departures when multiple gates in T1 load at once, so you can end up sitting at your gate while someone else watches your coffee. Tip: hit Summer Breeze right after security, before you check the screens, and you’ll usually beat the rush by at least 10 minutes.
