Bonheur

Gate-side in T1, Bonheur sits on the departures level

Bonheur sits airside in Terminal 1 at Santorini (JTR), on the main departures concourse after security, so you pass it on the way to most gates. It focuses on sweets, snacks, and gifts you can throw in a carry-on at the last minute. Expect typical airport pricing, a bit higher than Fira town, but still fine if you need something fast before boarding.

This shop leans heavily into Greek products: think boxed local sweets, packaged nuts, and smaller edible souvenirs that survive a flight. You also see standard travel snacks and bottled drinks, so you can grab water or juice for the gate. Bonheur keeps airport hours, opening with the first morning departures and staying open through the last scheduled flights, roughly from early morning to late evening in T1.

For gifts, look at the wrapped confectionery and smaller multipacks that clearly list weight limits and ingredients in English; they’re easier to get through customs later. Prices on branded chocolate and candy sit in the mid-range for the terminal and often match other T1 shops within a euro or two. If you just need a quick sugar hit before a 3–4 hour sector, this is an easy stop between security and your gate.

Cards are widely accepted here, including international credit cards, which helps if you’ve already burned through your last few euros in town. Lines spike around banked departures when 2–3 flights out of T1 board within 45 minutes. Best move: shop first, then sit down; don’t wait until your flight shows “boarding” on the JTR screens before heading over to Bonheur.
