Gate-side coffee stop in T1

Just past security in Terminal T1, Il Maestro sits on the main departures level and serves as one of the few sit-down options before you head to the single gate area at Santorini (JTR). It’s a straightforward Greek airport café setup: counter service, small seating area, and quick turnover between morning departures and late-afternoon flights.

Il Maestro runs through the full operating day of Santorini’s T1 departures, typically opening ahead of the first flights around 06:00 and staying open through the last evening departures. Expect standard Greek coffee-bar pricing for a tourist island: think espresso and freddo options around 3–4 €, soft drinks in the 2–3 € range, and sandwiches or pastries starting close to 4–5 €.

The menu leans on café basics: hot coffee, iced coffee, bottled water, packaged snacks, and pre-made sandwiches. With only T1 in play at Santorini, Il Maestro effectively covers all Schengen and non-Schengen departures from this small terminal. It’s fine for a quick freddo espresso and a croissant; skip anything that looks like it has sat in the case for a full wave of departures.

Space in T1 is tight, and Il Maestro’s seating can fill up fast during the mid-morning bank when several flights board from adjacent gates at once. Build a 10–15 minute buffer if you plan to grab coffee and a bite here before lining up for boarding, and pay at the counter first to avoid last-minute delays.
