Short Stay Parking

Short stay

$20 a day buys you a front-row spot at JAC

Short Stay Parking at Jackson Hole Airport sits right next to Terminal 1, so the walk to the doors runs about 5 minutes on foot. This is the lot locals use when curb time won’t cut it and they need more than the few active-loading minutes out front. It’s surface parking, open-air, and close enough that you can watch for arriving passengers heading out of the single terminal.

Rates run a flat $20.00 per day or $140.00 per week, so the moment you cross 7 days you’re billed at the weekly rate. That math makes Short Stay workable for a long weekend or a 5–6 day trip, but it starts to look steep if your car will sit for 10 days straight. Payment is standard airport fare: pull a ticket at entry, pay on exit, then roll out.

This is a post-parking walk-up situation only: park in Short Stay, then walk the ~5 minutes to the Terminal 1 check-in counters and TSA. No shuttle loops, no waiting 15 minutes in the cold for a bus, and no hunting for a separate pedestrian path; you’re essentially in the same front-of-terminal zone as the main surface lot. That saves time on both departure and return, especially on early morning flights.

Use Short Stay Parking when you’re planning a same-day pickup, a quick overnight, or a 2–4 day trip and want to stay right next to the building. If you’re pushing past a week at $140.00, run the numbers against longer-term options before you lock it in. One simple tip: in winter, aim for spots a row or two closer to the terminal so the 5-minute walk doesn’t turn into a slow shuffle on packed snow.
