Medas Beer

T1’s maps show Medas Beer even if reviews don’t

On Ibiza Airport’s T1 map, Medas Beer sits in the main departures area after security, but almost nobody talks about it online. That usually means standard Spanish airport bar: draught beer, bottled options, basic snacks, and TV screens with football on loop. Expect pricing in the 4–6 € range for a caña or small snack, similar to other IBZ airside spots.

You’ll find Medas Beer in the boarding zone used by most Schengen flights, so it works for intra‑EU departures on carriers like Vueling and Iberia. Figure on grabbing a drink 30–40 minutes before boarding, since IBZ tends to call flights early at the T1 gates. If queues back up at the nearby Starbucks, Medas Beer often ends up as the “beer instead of coffee” backup plan.

Food here usually runs to packaged tapas-style bites and simple bar plates in the 6–12 € bracket: think sandwiches, chips, maybe a tortilla slice rather than a full hot meal. Don’t bank on vegetarian or gluten‑free choices beyond basics, and expect limited kids’ options compared with the main food court restaurants in T1. If you want a proper sit‑down meal, eat first elsewhere in the terminal and treat Medas Beer as a last drink stop.

Beer is the main reason to sit down: Spanish lagers on tap, sometimes a local or “Mediterranean” label in bottle, and standard soft drinks if you’re skipping alcohol. Cocktail lists, if present, are usually basic and premixed, and wine by the glass can run 5–7 € for something forgettable. For coffee, the machines tend to be the same as other Medas-branded spots in Spain, so it’s fine but not a reason to go out of your way.

Tip: check your gate number on the T1 screens before ordering, then sit facing a monitor so you don’t miss a sudden “boarding now” call while you’re halfway through a 5 € cerveza.
