EV charging only shows up in Haneda’s P4 and P5 lots
Haneda Airport EV Charging Area basically means the EV spaces in parking lots P4 and P5; the airport’s own matrix shows charging there, but not in P1–P3. If you’re driving an electric car to HND, treat P4 and P5 as your only confirmed options for plugging in while you fly.
P4 and P5 sit on the official on-airport parking network at Tokyo Haneda, alongside P1, P2, and P3, but only P4 and P5 list EV chargers on the airport website. P1, P2, and P3 appear with blank EV rows in the same table, which is as close as you get to a direct “no” from the airport.
The EV charging spaces in P4 and P5 share the same general access rules and hourly pricing structure as the rest of each lot, since they’re not shown as a separate premium product on the haneda.com parking page. You park, take a ticket, and pay at the machines in the structure using yen cash or the usual card options noted on the main Haneda parking guide.
Regulars with EVs aim for P4 and P5 first, because that parking matrix is the only place the airport actually confirms chargers exist. If those structures show "full" on the roadside signboards before the terminals, many drivers bail out and switch to non-EV cars on future trips rather than gamble on unlisted plugs in P1–P3.
One tip: check the Haneda parking availability page just before leaving home and try to reach P4 or P5 at least 30–40 minutes earlier than you normally would, so you have time to circle within the structure and hunt down an EV bay without stressing about check-in cutoffs.
