10–15 minutes from Terminal 2 by shuttle, P4 Economy is HEL’s budget long-stay lot
P4 Economy is the long-term car park for Helsinki Airport, aimed at trips running over 24 hours and often the cheapest official option on-site. It sits a short shuttle ride from Terminals 1 and 2, and pricing is usually lower than P1–P3 if you’re leaving the car for several days or more. This is an outdoor parking area, so pick it with that in mind during winter months.
The lot works 24/7, matching HEL’s round-the-clock flight schedule, so late-night and early-morning departures from Terminal 2 are covered. You enter with an automated barrier system that reads your registration or booking code, and pay either online in advance or at the machine on return. Keep the booking confirmation handy on your phone in case the plate recognition glitches.
From P4 Economy, factor in roughly 10–15 minutes to reach Terminal 2 and a similar 10-minute run to Terminal 1, including shuttle wait time. In peak morning waves around 06:00–09:00, the shuttle can fill, so build a 20-minute buffer on top of your normal airport arrival time. If your flight boards at Gate 26 in T2, you don’t want to still be at the bus stop when boarding opens.
Prices vary by demand and season, but multi-day stays at P4 Economy usually undercut the daily rates at the closer P1 or P2 garages when you pass the 3–4 day mark. Booking in advance online often locks in a lower euro-per-day figure than just driving up, especially in school holiday weeks in Finland.
Practical tip: Screenshot or write down your exact zone and row in P4 Economy before you board the shuttle; in winter dusk at 16:00, every snow-dusted row can look the same when you get back.
