Short-term parking at Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport sits directly next to the T1 and T2 terminal buildings, so you’re walking for roughly 1–3 minutes from car to check-in. It’s set up for quick drop-offs, pick-ups, and errands in the terminal, not all-day parking. Think meetings, walking someone to security, or grabbing a passenger with hand baggage only.

This is a short-stay product, so tariffs climb fast after the first hour. Expect pricing by 15–30 minute blocks, with the per-hour cost noticeably higher than the long-term garages that sit farther from the terminal. Fine for a 30–90 minute stop; painful if you leave the car for half a day. If you know you’ll be at HAM for more than two hours, long-term or holiday parking usually works out cheaper.

The Short-term parking area sits on the terminal side of the airport access road, directly in front of T1/T2 entrances, so you stay on the same level as departures. That means no shuttle, no extra lift ride, and no skybridges to figure out. You drive in, take a ticket or use your plate/booking at the barrier, park, and you’re inside the building in a couple of minutes at most.

There’s no special lounge access, car wash, or EV-only deck here; this is functional, high-turnover parking next to the terminal doors. Spaces closest to the sliding doors for T1 and T2 fill first at peak times like early morning wave (around 05:00–08:00), so plan on a slightly longer walk if you arrive then.
