Pricing at P5 is simple but steep: around €45.00 per day and €315.00 for a week. That puts it at the top end of HAM parking rates, so it only makes sense if you value the 1 minute walk to Terminal 2 doors more than saving €50–€100 by parking further away.

P5 is classed as a short-stay car park, so think stays of a few hours up to a couple of days, with a hard ceiling around the one-week mark at €315.00. If you’re flying out of T2 on a Monday and back by Wednesday night, the math still works; anything beyond that, long-term car parks around T1 usually beat it on price.

Access is straightforward: drive to Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport, follow the T2 signs, then follow the “P5” boards into the car park directly in front of the terminal. Because it’s so close to departures, you cut out shuttle waits and allow yourself to arrive 20–30 minutes later than you would with remote parking.

There are no widely reported regular tricks or complaints about P5 yet, but at this price point, treat it as premium parking. Spaces closer to the terminal doors tend to go first, so if you’re arriving in a busy window before a 07:00–09:00 departure wave, aim to get there at least an extra 10 minutes earlier to hunt a better spot.
