Follow the signs toward lounges, and once you reach the top-floor corridor, turn left for the Emirates Lounge, not right for the contract Airport Lounge. Staff typically time opening around the Dubai-bound departures, so don’t expect access in the middle of the day when no Emirates flight is on the board.

Access is simple: Emirates First Class and Business Class passengers walk in, and there’s no mention of day passes or paid entry at Hamburg. That keeps numbers down compared with third‑party lounges serving multiple airlines and Priority Pass traffic. If you usually grab a pay‑in option, factor in that here you either fly premium cabin on Emirates or you skip it.

The main draw over the Airport Lounge across the hall is space to breathe before those two daily flights. Seating tends to spread along the windows, and with only Emirates passengers using it, crowding is less of an issue than in the contract lounge. You’re trading the mixed‑airline chaos on the right side of the corridor for a quieter Emirates‑only room on the left.

Food and drink at Hamburg track the standard Emirates Lounge template: a hot buffet lineup around peak departure times and a self‑serve bar. Expect better presentation than the contract Airport Lounge opposite, but also remember the narrow operating window tied to the flight schedule. If your ticket already puts you in Business or First, it’s an easy call to head left instead of paying for the public lounge on the right.

Practical tip: check the exact opening time against your Emirates flight, then clear security in T1 about 90 minutes before departure so you still get meaningful lounge time before boarding starts.
