Gate-side reading and snacks near Terminal B security

Press and Books sits airside in Terminal B, a short walk from the central security lanes, so you can duck in after screening without detouring across the airport. It focuses on newspapers, magazines, books, and small travel items, all within the Schengen gates serving airlines like Lufthansa and Eurowings.

Opening hours generally track Terminal B’s first and last departures, so you’ll usually see the lights on from early morning check-in waves through the evening bank of flights. If you’re on a 06:00 departure out of B, expect it to be one of the first shops to roll up the shutters after security.

Prices run higher than in the city: bottled drinks often land around €3, basic paperbacks in German or English around €10–€15, and simple snacks slightly above supermarket levels. It still beats boarding a 2-hour hop to Munich or Frankfurt with nothing to read and no water.

Stock leans heavily German, but you normally find a small stand of international press and a handful of English-language bestsellers. If you want magazines beyond the big titles, check here before walking over to Terminal A or C, since each pier has its own smaller kiosks with overlapping but not identical stock.

Tip: stop here right after you clear Terminal B security; lines sometimes build at the cashier 20–30 minutes before peak departures.
