Gate-side at Terminal A, Erlebnis-Shop is your quick top-up stop
Right in Terminal A, Erlebnis-Shop works as the “I forgot…” store before you head to security and the gates. Expect the usual German airport mix: snacks, bottled drinks, magazines, basic travel toiletries, and some Hannover souvenirs with “HAJ” and Lower Saxony themes. Prices run higher than city supermarkets, but standard for a small airport shop in Germany.
Hours at Erlebnis-Shop track typical Terminal A flight banks, so it’s generally open from early morning departures into the evening, but not 24/7. If you’re catching a 06:00 flight, you can usually grab water, gum, and a quick sweet fix here before security, instead of relying only on airside kiosks. Don’t plan your whole breakfast around it; think top-up, not full meal.
Stock leans heavily on single-serve snacks and drinks, so it’s fine for a 1–2 hour hop out of HAJ. Expect standard chocolate bars, chips, and a few small multipacks. For reading material, you’ll see German newspapers and magazines up front; English-language options are thinner than in bigger hubs and may drop off after midday.
Tip: buy your bigger bottle of water here if you are arriving by car or S-Bahn and need it for landside waiting; for carry-on liquids through security, stick to a small bottle from Erlebnis-Shop or plan to restock airside in Terminal A after screening.
