Uppercrust in Geneva Airport’s T1 sits airside just past security, so it’s one of the first food counters you see once you clear checks. It runs through the main daytime bank of flights, typically from early morning until early evening, and focuses on baguette sandwiches, pastries and drinks. Think quick counter service rather than a sit-down meal.

Most baguettes land in the CHF 7–10 range, with basic ham-and-cheese or tuna on the cheaper end and more loaded options at the top. You’ll also see croissants and pain au chocolat in the CHF 2–3 bracket, plus bottled soft drinks and water around CHF 3–4. Prices sit in the usual Geneva airport band: not a bargain, but still below some of the full-service restaurants deeper in T1.

Food comes pre-made and wrapped, so wait times stay under 5 minutes even when several flights out of T1 board between 07:00 and 09:00. That makes Uppercrust useful if your boarding pass shows a tight 30-minute window between security and gate close. There’s no table service, just a small stand-up area and whatever public seating you can grab nearby in the T1 departures hall.

Best move here is simple: grab a straightforward baguette that looks freshly stocked, plus a pastry if it’s before 10:00 and the tray still looks full. Skip anything that’s been sitting with visibly dried edges or soggy fillings; turnover slows mid-afternoon after the morning bank of departures from GVA T1. Coffee is passable but not a specialty draw, so use it as a backup rather than your only caffeine plan.

Tip: If your gate is in the mid-30s at T1, stop at Uppercrust as soon as you clear security; there are fewer food options once you walk the 5–10 minutes down to the far end of the pier.
