Bistrot Genève

T1

T1’s Bistrot Genève sits landside, before security at Geneva Airport

You’ll find Bistrot Genève in Terminal T1, on the public side of the building, so it works for both departures and airport meetups. That landside location means you can eat here even if you’re just dropping someone for a 07:00 flight or waiting on a late Swiss arrival.

The menu runs through standard European bistro staples: espresso and croissants in the morning, then sandwiches, salads, and hot plates through the day. Expect airport pricing, with coffee around the CHF 4–6 mark and mains sitting roughly in the CHF 18–25 range, similar to other T1 restaurants around check-in.

Service runs through the core flight banks, usually opening early enough for the first T1 departures and staying open into the evening wave that goes past 20:00. That timing makes it an option for a sit-down meal before long-haul flights on Swiss or other carriers using T1, especially if your gate is still unassigned and you don’t want to commit to a pier yet.

Seating is standard airport bistro: mix of small tables and a few higher bar-style spots, all within sight of the T1 departures hall. It’s workable for a short laptop session if you have a power bank, but don’t count on every table having outlets the way the newer gate areas in T1 do.

Food is more about reliability than food-blog moments: think simple pastas, burgers, and cold platters rather than tasting menus. If you just want something quick, a pre-made baguette or salad here usually lands faster than waiting in the longer T1 food court queues closer to security during the 06:30–09:00 rush.

Practical tip: if your flight leaves from T1, finish up at Bistrot Genève and plan at least 20 minutes to walk to security and clear the usual morning line, longer in peak winter ski season weekends.
