Just past security in T1, Tekoe is all about tea
Tekoe sits airside in Terminal T1 at Geneva Airport, a short walk from most Schengen gates, and focuses on loose-leaf teas instead of coffee. You’ll see big tins lined up behind the counter and a menu that runs from classic black teas to herbal blends, plus ready-made iced teas in 30–50 cl cups. It’s a quick stop if you want something lighter than an espresso bar and don’t need a full meal before boarding.
Prices sit in typical Swiss-airport territory: expect around CHF 4–6 for hot tea, and a bit more for iced versions or seasonal specialties. Staff prepare each tea to order, so factor in five extra minutes during morning and early-evening bank times when T1 fills with Swiss and easyJet departures. You pay at the counter, grab your drink, and seating is limited to a few stools and nearby public chairs.
Food is secondary: you’ll usually find a small selection of pre-packed pastries and biscuits in the CHF 3–5 range, good for a snack but not a real breakfast or lunch. If you need something more substantial, plan to hit a sandwich spot elsewhere in T1 and then circle back to Tekoe for tea. This works well if you have 45 minutes or more before boarding starts.
The safe order is a straight black or green tea from the core menu; blends change now and then, but the standard teas stay consistent and are hard to mess up. If you’re sensitive to caffeine before a late flight, they also pour several herbal options so you’re not stuck with coffee. Avoid using this as your only food stop before a 2–3 hour sector; the snack choice is too limited.
Tip: if you’re carrying an empty bottle through security in T1, get an iced tea take-away at Tekoe and top it up later with water from the fountains near the gates to stretch one purchase through the whole wait.
