Gate-side TVs and beer taps anchor Sports Bar in T1
Sports Bar sits airside in Terminal T1, on the main departures level, and leans hard into its name with multiple screens locked on football, tennis, and Formula 1. It’s one of the few spots in GVA where you can keep an eye on both your match and the departures board without moving from your seat.
The menu runs through standard pub fare at airport prices: expect burgers around CHF 22–25, basic pizzas in the CHF 18–22 range, and fries or small snacks from about CHF 7. Draft and bottled beers usually land between CHF 8 and CHF 11, which is in line with the rest of Geneva Airport. Portions skew medium, not oversized, so don’t plan on sharing one main between two hungry people.
Opening hours track the T1 schedule, with Sports Bar typically serving from early morning departures to late evening flights, roughly 06:00 to 22:00 on busy days. There’s table service plus a bar counter; if your flight leaves in under 40 minutes, the bar counter tends to be faster for a drink and a quick plate of fries than waiting on a server.
Power outlets are hit-or-miss along the banquette seating, but you can usually find at least one socket under every second table in the central section. Wi‑Fi runs on the standard Genève Aéroport network, so you log in once and it follows you from the gate to your seat. Noise levels spike during Champions League nights, so this is not the spot to take a Teams call at 20:45.
Service speed varies a lot with departure waves; at the 07:00–09:00 and 17:00–19:00 peaks, mains can take 25–30 minutes. If your boarding pass shows a Schengen flight from one of the A gates, pad your stop here by at least 20 minutes to walk back to your gate without stress.
