Many Guam hotels run free shuttles to and from GUM
If your hotel offers an airport shuttle, you usually ride free between Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport and the property, which can save you the US$20–30 you’d otherwise pay for a short taxi trip. These hotel buses meet arrivals at the Main Terminal, outside the public arrivals hall after customs.
Most hotel shuttles operate around flight banks tied to major arrivals from Japan, Korea, and the US, so late-night and early-morning runs are common at GUM. Because times vary by property, check your hotel’s website or email them at least 24 hours before your flight to lock in a pickup time that matches your scheduled arrival.
Pickups usually happen curbside on the arrivals level of the Main Terminal, just beyond the doors from baggage claim carousels 1–3. Some larger resorts on Tumon Bay send clearly branded buses that stop in the same area as tour coaches, while smaller hotels may send a van and hold a sign with the hotel name.
Many hotels bundle the shuttle with a room package or loyalty tier, so you might get the airport transfer free if you booked a “stay 3 nights” rate or hold mid-tier status. If your rate doesn’t include it, some properties charge a flat per-person fee, often under US$10 each way, which can still beat a metered taxi for two or more guests.
On arrival, plan 20–40 minutes from gate to curb at GUM, including immigration and baggage claim, and give the shuttle coordinator your flight number so they can track delays. On departure, hotels commonly schedule pickup about 2–2.5 hours before your flight time, which fits Guam’s small-airport security lines and a short 10–15 minute drive to the Main Terminal.
One practical tip: before you land, screenshot your hotel’s shuttle instructions and phone number, plus your flight’s arrival time and number; Guam Wi‑Fi can be spotty at the curb, and having those details handy makes it easier to spot the right bus and confirm if you should wait or grab a backup taxi instead.
