Gate 10/11 at GUM is basically United’s morning clubhouse.
The United Club sits on the concourse level between gates 10 and 11 in the Main terminal, and it’s the only alliance lounge at Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport. United and Star Alliance regulars treat it as a pre-flight pit stop before the early Micronesia and Japan banks, not as a destination in itself.
Doors open at 4:30 AM and shut at 1:00 PM daily, so this lounge only helps for morning and midday departures out of GUM. If you’re on a late-afternoon or evening flight, the club is closed and you’re back to terminal seating. Access is limited to United Club members and Star Alliance Gold members flying same-day on a Star carrier.
Layout is compact, with standard armchairs and small tables spread along windows near gates 10–11, and regulars on FlyerTalk describe it as "basic but fine" for an hour. Power outlets run along several seating rows, enough for phones and laptops but not every single seat, so grab a plug-in spot early if you’re boarding a 07:00–09:00 departure.
Food skews continental: think light snacks, packaged items, and simple breakfast bites rather than a hot buffet like you’d see at a big United hub in NRT or on the U.S. mainland. You’ll usually find coffee, tea, soft drinks, and basic alcoholic options, but most frequent Guam flyers suggest planning your real meal in town or onboard instead of counting on this club for anything substantial.
The tight morning departure bank out of GUM means the lounge can feel crowded and a bit picked over between about 05:30 and 08:00, especially when multiple Micronesia flights push out around the same time. FlyerTalk reports from 2023 call it a "huge step up" from the gate area, but still nowhere close to a Polaris-style setup in SFO or ORD.
What regulars do: UA and Star Alliance elites try to be inside within 15–20 minutes of the 04:30 opening, grab coffee, secure a power outlet, and use Wi‑Fi to clear email before giving up their seat once the peak bank hits. Most head to the gate 30–40 minutes before boarding rather than sticking around as the room fills.
Practical tip: if you’re flying UA out of any gate in the Main terminal, clear security as close to 04:30 as your check-in allows, hit this United Club for coffee, Wi‑Fi, and charging, then plan to eat a proper meal either in Guam city before the airport or on your United flight.
