10.00–20.00 opening hours make MAX the pre-security fallback
MAX at Göteborg Landvetter Airport sits before security, so this is the spot if you’re meeting someone curbside, waiting on delayed check-in, or still outside the checkpoint with bags. Hours run daily from 10.00 to 20.00, which covers most daytime departures but not very late flights or super-early morning check-ins.
The menu focuses on fast food with a long list of vegetarian and vegan options. If you need plant-based by default, MAX is one of the few airport choices that actually label it clearly. You’ll also find lactose-free choices, which helps if regular cheese or sauces are off-limits.
For anyone dealing with food allergies, MAX calls out gluten-free items, so you’re not guessing at buns or breading. Still, it’s a standard fast-food setup, not a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, so assume shared equipment and decide based on your own tolerance level.
Everything here works as take away, so you can grab a bag and then move to check-in or a quieter seating pocket elsewhere in the public hall. Being pre-security means you can also use it on arrival at GOT if you land before 20.00 and want a quick plant-based meal before heading into town.
Big watch-out: once you pass security, you can’t get back to MAX, and there’s no second unit airside. If your flight is in the early morning or late evening, the 10.00–20.00 window may not line up with your schedule at all.
Tip: if you rely on vegan or gluten-free fast food, plan to eat at MAX before heading through security and aim to arrive at the airport at least 30–40 minutes earlier than you normally would to leave time for the queue.
