10–15 minute hotel shuttles cover most properties near GNV

Several Gainesville hotels within a short drive of Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV) run courtesy vans to and from Terminal T. Most of these shuttles reach the airport in about 10–15 minutes, since many properties sit along NE 39th Ave and near the University of Florida area. Always confirm shuttle hours with your specific hotel when you book, because pickup times and late-night coverage vary by property.

Courtesy vans pick up outside Terminal T near the main arrivals curb, a short walk from baggage claim. Some hotels require you to call the front desk once you land, while others run on a fixed schedule, like every 30 or 60 minutes. Have your hotel’s phone number saved and your confirmation ready so you can request pickup as soon as you’re off the plane and have your bags.

Most hotel shuttles around GNV are free for registered guests, folded into your room rate rather than billed as a separate fee. A few properties may limit rides to set hours, for example 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and may not cover very early-morning flights. If you have a 5:30 a.m. departure, ask your hotel directly if their van can get you to the airport at least 90 minutes before departure or if you should budget for a taxi or rideshare instead.

Because several hotels cluster within roughly 3–6 miles of GNV, some front desks group guests and send a shared van run to the airport. That can mean an extra stop or two on the way to or from Terminal T. If you’re cutting it close for a 7:00 a.m. flight, request the first shuttle of the morning and be downstairs 10–15 minutes before the scheduled departure from the hotel.

Practical tip: Call your hotel from baggage claim at GNV as soon as you see your suitcase on Carousel 1, so the courtesy van can head to the Terminal T curb while you walk outside, instead of you waiting on the curb for the next round trip.
