Estacionamento VIP

Valet parking

Valet drop-off sits directly by the GIG terminal entrances

Estacionamento VIP runs valet parking right in front of the passenger terminals at Rio de Janeiro–Galeão International Airport (GIG), serving Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 traffic. You hand over the keys at the curb, staff park the car in a secured area, and you walk straight into check-in. This cuts out the loop of hunting for a space in the regular GIG parking garages.

Service typically operates in line with main flight banks, covering early-morning departures from around 05:00 through late-evening arrivals after 22:00 at T1 and T2. You drop the car at the signed Estacionamento VIP zone next to the terminal doors, then confirm your return flight details so they can stage the car for pickup. Payment runs at a higher daily rate than the standard airport lot, reflecting the door-side handoff and retrieval.

Rates are charged per 24 hours, with a noticeable jump after the first day, so short trips of one to three days tend to make the most financial sense here. Longer trips of seven days or more usually work out cheaper in the multi-level public parking near T2. Estacionamento VIP suits drivers who value the curbside handover more than shaving every real off the parking bill.

Because drop-off is directly at the terminal curb, this option pairs well with heavy luggage, kids, or late-night arrivals into GIG. On busy holiday weekends in Rio, the public garages around T2 can fill or push drivers up to higher levels; valet side-steps that by taking the car off your hands in under five minutes. Book ahead by phone if you are arriving around Christmas, New Year, or Carnival dates.

Practical tip: take a quick photo of your valet ticket and the license plate at drop-off, so if the paper stub goes missing during your trip, pickup at T1 or T2 stays simple.
