Aelia Duty Free

T2

Aelia sits just past security in T2 at Gdańsk

You hit Aelia Duty Free almost immediately after security in Terminal T2, before the gates spread out. It’s the standard walk-through style shop, so you’ll pass it even on a tight domestic hop. Shelves run heavy on Polish vodka brands and amber-themed souvenirs, with prices in PLN and clear tax-free tags for non-EU routes.

Opening hours track the main T2 schedule, roughly first departures around 04:00 until the last flights late evening, though smaller banks in the middle of the day can mean quieter aisles. Expect big-name cosmetics, perfumes, and cigarettes, along with sweets from brands you’d recognize in any European airport. Alcohol is usually the best value; cosmetics often match downtown pricing rather than beat it.

Snackwise, this is grab-and-go rather than a meal stop: think chocolate boxes, 100 g candy bags, and multipack snacks that travel well. If you want local flavor, look for Polish pralines and Wedel bars at the lower shelves, under the international brands. Staff are used to people rushing for Schengen flights like those to Warsaw or Kraków, so payment is quick and contactless terminals rarely give trouble.

Figure on 5–10 minutes to walk through Aelia Duty Free if you’re just grabbing alcohol or chocolate; double that if you’re testing perfumes. Last tip: if your gate is at the far end of T2, shop first, then head straight to the gate so you’re not walking back against the passenger flow.
