Cell Phone Lot

Waiting area

Free cell phone lot sits just minutes from the Main terminal

The Cell Phone Lot at Fort Wayne International Airport is a free waiting area for drivers meeting arriving passengers at the Main terminal. You stay with your car, wait for a text or call, then pull up to the terminal curb in a couple of minutes instead of looping around the roadway.

This lot sits off the main airport entrance road on W Ferguson Road, before you reach the Main terminal and long-term parking. Because it’s outside the paid parking areas, you avoid taking a ticket, watching the clock, or paying the daily rate charged in the long-term lot.

The airport promotes the Cell Phone Lot specifically for pickup, not for overnight or extended parking. Use it while a flight is on final approach or taxiing in, then drive the short distance to the arrivals curb when your passenger reaches baggage claim. If you need to go inside the terminal for more than a quick curbside pickup, move to short-term parking, which is directly across from the Main terminal doors.

There is no shuttle service from the Cell Phone Lot to the Main terminal, and it is not intended as a park-and-fly option for multi-day trips. Think of it as a staging area to avoid circling the single-terminal roadway and to keep traffic flowing around the Main terminal entrance during peak arrival banks.

Tip: Have your passenger call once they reach the baggage claim carousel inside the Main terminal; that timing usually lines up well with the 2–3 minute drive from the Cell Phone Lot to the arrivals curb.
