Travel Essentials

T1

Near gate area in T1, Travel Essentials is your basics stop.

You find Travel Essentials airside in Fuerteventura’s T1, after security and along the main departures walkway. It’s a small, straightforward shop focused on last-minute practical items rather than big souvenirs or fashion brands. Think grab-and-go more than browsing session.

Stock usually covers the usual travel kit: plug adapters for EU sockets, charging cables, basic headphones, sunscreen strong enough for Fuerteventura sun (30–50 SPF), lip balm, plus simple toiletries like toothbrush kits and mini deodorant. Prices run higher than downtown: expect to pay a few euros extra on cables and chargers compared to supermarkets in Puerto del Rosario.

You’ll also see snacks and drinks: bottled water around the €2–€3 mark, standard chocolate bars, packets of nuts, and a limited range of kids’ treats. This is not a full newsstand, but there are a handful of magazines and puzzle books in Spanish and a few English titles, good enough to cover a 3–4 hour flight back to mainland Europe or the UK.

Hours roughly follow the main departure banks in T1, opening early morning for the first Ryanair and Jet2 waves and staying open through the late-afternoon holiday flights. Staff handle quick transactions well when two or three flights board together, but queues still form in the 10–15 minute range at peak times. If you know you need sunscreen, a charger, or snacks, stop here before you sit down at the gate.
