Gate-side caffeine fix near T1 departures

Just past security in Terminal T1, Go to Coffee sits along the main departures corridor and works well for a quick espresso before boarding. It runs through the daytime flight banks, typically opening before the first morning departures around 05:00 and staying open into the evening. Seating is limited to a few stools and small tables, so assume more “grab-and-go” than lingering café.

Prices land in standard airport territory: expect around €1.50–€2.00 for an espresso, €2.50–€3.00 for a cappuccino, and roughly €3.50–€5.00 for sandwiches or pastries. It’s all paid at the counter, with card widely accepted and contactless usually working faster than chip-and-pin. If you just need a bottle of water or a canned drink, those sit in the same cooler as the juices, so check labels before you queue again.

Food is classic light snack fare for a small European airport: croissants, simple baguette sandwiches, and a few packaged sweets. Fresh items come out in the morning before the 08:00–09:00 departure wave, and the selection thins later in the day, so grab a pastry early if you care which one you get. Coffee quality is decent for a quick stop; don’t expect elaborate pour-overs, just straightforward machine-based espresso drinks.

Lines build right before the larger departures to mainland Portugal around 07:00–08:00 and again near early afternoon flights, so add 5–10 minutes if your boarding time is close. If your gate is at the far end of T1, pick up everything here before walking down; there are fewer options the deeper you go into the pier.
