Local Products Store

T1’s Local Products Store is your last shot at Algarve souvenirs

This shop sits airside in T1 after security, near the main departures retail strip, and it leans heavily on Algarve-made goods. Expect shelves of regional food items, cork accessories, and small gifts that actually say “Algarve” or “Portugal,” not generic tourist stock. Prices run higher than in town, but still fine for a quick grab: think €4–€6 for sweets or snacks and teens/low-20s for cork wallets and small bags.

Local Products Store typically trades with standard terminal hours, opening early enough for morning departures and staying open for late-evening flights through FAO’s usual schedule. You’ll see piles of local olive oil tins, flor de sal from the coast, and boxes of fig or almond sweets that pack flat in a cabin bag. If you want a one-stop sweep, walk here once you clear security in T1 rather than hunting smaller stands by individual gates.

Food-wise, this is more shop than deli, but there are quick edible gifts: 100 g chocolate bars with Algarve branding, vacuum-packed sausages around €6–€8, and small bottles of medronho for checked luggage only. Skip big glass bottles if you’re on hand baggage; focus on tins, packets, and pouches that survive a Ryanair-style overhead bin. Staff usually speak at least Portuguese and English, handy if you need ingredients clarified.

One practical tip: do a fast price check on one cork item you’ve seen in town; if it’s within a couple of euros, buy here and save the extra stop in Faro city before your flight.
