Big Mac and fries as the backup plan in T1
This McDonald’s sits airside in Terminal T1 at Eindhoven Airport, just past security and before most non-Schengen gates. It runs from early morning into late evening on typical flight banks, so you can usually grab something before those 06:30–08:00 departures or after a 22:00 arrival. It’s standard McDonald’s service: queue at the counter or kiosks, grab your tray, find a table facing the main passenger flow.
Menu is classic Western Europe McDonald’s: Big Mac meals, McChicken, Filet-O-Fish, McNuggets, plus local touches that rotate on limited-time promos. Expect to pay around €9–€11 for a burger meal with fries and a drink, and about €3–€4 for a simple breakfast item like an Egg McMuffin. Coffee is cheaper than most sit-down spots in the terminal, and a cappuccino or latte usually comes in under €3.50.
Turnaround is quick by airport standards: most orders hit the counter within 5–10 minutes, even when a Ryanair or Wizz Air flight just dumped a crowd from gates around the low-cost area. Seating is open and shared with the general food court, so at peak times around 06:00–09:00 and 17:00–20:00 you may have to hover for a table near the main concourse. Solo travelers often just stand at the high counters with a tray and eat in under 15 minutes.
What to order: stick to core items like Big Mac, McChicken, fries, and McNuggets, which match what you’d get in any Dutch city. Desserts, including McFlurry and sundaes around €3–€4, hit the spot on warmer days when the glass-fronted terminal heats up. If your boarding pass time is tight, skip anything made to order and go for whatever shows as “ready” on the kiosk screens.
Tip: if your gate shows boarding in 30 minutes or less, order takeaway, grab condiments on the first pass, and walk your bag and bag of food straight to the seating near your exact gate in T1.
