Fresh sandwiches landside in T1 before you hit security
La Place sits landside in Terminal T1 at Eindhoven Airport, just before the security checkpoint, and it’s one of the only places here where you can sit down with a made-to-order sandwich or salad instead of a pre-packed plastic box from a fridge near the gates. It’s useful if you’re meeting someone arriving or you prefer to eat before the liquids check.
This is a self-service setup with a counter full of fresh bread, salads, and hot items; expect to pay around €7–€9 for a decent-sized sandwich and roughly €6–€8 for salads. Coffee runs in the €3 range for an espresso or standard coffee, with larger milk drinks closer to €4–€4.50. You pick up a tray, pay at the till, and grab any free table in the shared seating area facing the T1 hall.
La Place usually opens early in line with morning departures, around the first wave of flights from Eindhoven, and keeps running into the evening while T1 is active. That makes it handy if you’re on an early Ryanair or Wizz Air flight and want something more substantial than a croissant from a kiosk. Because it’s before security, non-flying friends or family can also sit here with you until you head to screening.
Food skews simple but fresh: think whole-grain bread with cheese or ham, pesto chicken sandwiches, basic pastas, and seasonal salads, plus pastries and cakes at the counter. Vegetarian options are usually present in the salad bar and sandwich line, and you’ll see ingredients prepped in open view behind the glass. Water, soft drinks, and juices sit in chilled displays, with prices generally a euro or two above high street locations in Eindhoven city.
One practical tip: plan an extra 20–30 minutes to eat at La Place before security in T1, because once you head airside at Eindhoven you’re mostly down to smaller snack stands and grab-and-go fridges near the gates.
