Terminal 2 Multi-Storey Car Park

Short-stay

2–3 minutes’ covered walk from T2 departures

Terminal 2 Multi-Storey Car Park sits directly opposite Dublin Airport’s T2, with a covered walkway that puts you at the check-in desks in about 2–3 minutes. It’s signed as short-stay, so think hours and 1–3 days rather than week-long holiday parking. This one is post-road but obviously pre-security, so you still go through normal departures screening in T2.

Spaces are on multiple levels in a concrete structure, with height restrictions that rule out taller vans and some SUVs with roof boxes. Being the official on-airport short-stay option for T2, it usually prices higher per day than DAA’s long-stay lots a few kilometres away, but you trade that for being able to walk straight to Aer Lingus long-haul check-in on Level 2 of T2. Pay stations sit near the pedestrian exits, and barriers read your number plate on entry and exit.

Pre-booking through Dublin Airport’s own system often locks in a lower 24-hour rate than drive-up prices at the same multi-storey. Flex options sometimes let you tweak your entry time on the day, but the cheapest advance deals tend to be non-refundable. If you’re only dropping someone for a 2–3 hour window, compare the short-stay hourly cost here with the express red zone at T2 before committing.

Access is straightforward: you follow signs to T2, then peel off to the Terminal 2 Multi-Storey entrance ramp, with separate lanes for pre-booked and ticket users. Lifts and stairs run from each parking level to the T2 walkway, which is lit and under cover the whole way. If you land back late into Dublin after 22:00, remember you’re still only a few minutes’ walk from arrivals to your car.

Practical tip: photograph your level and row number on arrival; with several decks and similar colour schemes, it genuinely saves 5–10 minutes of wandering when you return.
