Terminal 1 Multi-Storey Car Park

Short-stay

50 metres from T1 check-in, this is the closest car park

The Terminal 1 Multi-Storey Car Park sits directly opposite T1, about a 1–2 minute covered walk from the check-in desks. It’s the short-stay option if you want to park your own car and keep it within sight of the terminal. You drive in off the main airport access road, follow signs for T1 Short-Term, and pull a ticket at the barrier or use pre-booked entry.

This is a multi-level concrete structure with numbered zones across several floors, serving only the T1/T2 side of Dublin Airport. Lifts connect each parking level to the pedestrian bridges that feed straight into T1 departures. For T2 flights, you still walk via T1 and follow the signposted indoor route; expect about 8–10 minutes total to reach T2 check-in.

Parking here is priced at short-stay rates, typically by the hour and capped per 24 hours, and it’s open 24/7 in line with airport operations. It’s aimed at trips of a few hours to a couple of days rather than long holidays. Payment works via pay stations near the lifts or at the exit barrier using card or contactless.

Because it’s multi-storey, lower levels close to the terminal bridge usually fill first during busy morning banks, especially between 05:00 and 08:00. If you’re running tight on time, just take the first space you see on any level and head straight to the nearest lift core marked for T1. Spaces are standard Irish/UK size, so larger SUVs sometimes prefer end rows for easier door swing.

Watch out for peak weekend periods when traffic backs up on the approach road to the T1 Multi-Storey. Build a 15–20 minute buffer on top of your normal check-in time to cover access, finding a space and walking to departures.
