Reduced-rate terminal parking for German disability pass holders

Pay the P6 daily rate but park next to T1: Dortmund’s Accessible Parking targets travelers with German disability documentation (codes aG, Bl, H or B). The bays sit directly by the terminal, with a flat, marked route into T1 in about a 1‑minute walk. That puts you closer than the outdoor P6 area, but on a pricing level aligned with P6 instead of the higher P1 tariff.

The airport has flagged a change from 1 April 2026: disabled parking spaces stop being free of charge from that date. From then on, eligible drivers still get a reduced rate, but they pay, per day, what P6 charges instead of the regular P1 daily price. If you currently plan around free parking, build in that cost shift for trips after April 2026.

Accessible bays are treated as a remote product on paper, but the walk time is shorter than many so‑called terminal garages: around 1 minute to T1 doors at Dortmund Airport. You park on solid, level ground right next to the terminal, which cuts transfer faff with wheelchairs, walkers, or heavy medical luggage compared with the longer path from P6.

To use the reduced-rate setup in the P1/Accessible zone, you need valid German disability documentation with one of the codes aG, Bl, H or B, plus your parking ticket for manual adjustment. Plan on stopping at the parking or information desk in T1 after your trip so staff can recode the ticket from the standard P1 tariff to the cheaper outdoor P6 daily rate.

Practical tip: keep your disability ID and parking ticket in the same wallet and factor in a 5–10 minute stop at the T1 service desk after landing to get the P6-rate adjustment applied before you exit the barrier.
