Domestic Parking Area

Short-term parking

Five-minute walk from the Domestic terminal doors

The Domestic Parking Area at Denpasar I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) sits directly in front of the Domestic terminal, roughly a 3–5 minute walk to check-in counters depending on your airline. It is signed simply as “Domestic Parking” on airport approach roads, so watch for that wording once you exit the main bypass.

This is short-term parking, best for pickups, drop-offs, and same‑day trips departing from the Domestic terminal. You get regular car bays plus marked spaces for larger vehicles near the entrance barrier. Payment is on exit at staffed booths and machines, taking Indonesian rupiah cash and, at most booths, local cards; keep your ticket dry, the system reads the printed barcode.

Prices are charged by the hour with a daily cap; recent travelers report low first-hour fees in the IDR 5,000–10,000 range and then step-ups each additional hour, though tariffs change periodically. Motorbikes usually pay a lower flat rate in a separate section near the access road. If you expect to park longer than 6–8 hours, compare the total against app-based ride options from Kuta, Seminyak, or Canggu.

The lot is open 24 hours to match domestic flight schedules, with the busiest times roughly 06:00–09:00 and 16:00–20:00. During those peaks, the lanes closest to the terminal glass doors fill first, so you may end up in the back rows near the perimeter fence. Allow an extra 10 minutes during holiday periods such as Idul Fitri or school breaks.

Final tip: take a quick photo of your row and nearest terminal entrance sign on your phone as soon as you park; the Domestic Parking Area uses repeating bay layouts, and that one photo can save you 10–15 minutes of wandering when you land back in DPS.
