50 meters from T1, this is the airport’s main lot
Estacionamento Principal sits directly in front of Curitiba-Afonso Pena’s T1, roughly a 1–2 minute walk to the check-in doors. It’s the primary on-site car park for both short and long stays, so treat it as the default option if you want to leave the car on airport property and avoid shuttles or off-site transfers.
The lot handles short stays for drop-offs, meetings, and quick pickups, but also covers multi-day trips with long-stay pricing. You drive straight from the airport access road into Estacionamento Principal, park, and then walk to T1 with your bags. Because it’s the closest on-airport parking, it tends to be the first to fill on busy holiday weekends and Monday mornings.
Payment usually runs through automated machines near the pedestrian exits facing T1, typically accepting cards and local debit. You take a ticket on entry, pay at the machine before walking back to your car, then insert the validated ticket at the exit barrier. Keep the ticket handy; losing it often triggers the maximum daily fee based on airport policy.
Security is standard for a terminal-front lot, with lighting, basic fencing, and cameras covering the main lanes. There is regular vehicle movement 24 hours a day because T1 runs early-morning departures and late-night arrivals. If you’re parking for several days, aim for spots closer to the pedestrian walkways and main traffic, which generally feel better lit.
Tip: on peak days, arrive at least 20–30 minutes earlier than usual to find a space in Estacionamento Principal and still make the short walk to T1 check-in without stressing your check-in cutoff.
